Thunderstorm

The moon at dusk, as we waited for takeoff.

Atlanta smog at sunset. See the inversion layer?

And then we flew around an active storm cell. There's lightening illuminating the clouds from within (just under the wing in this shot).
And this would be dramatic if it weren't for the reflection of my lap obscuring the shot.

The moon, again, not the sun. Harsh, idn'it?

And one for Silvia: I was trying to track the same cloud below and to the right as we flew past it. Instead I succeeded in painstakingly dragging the glare from the wing light across the frame.

Trip home

Drinking problem.

Two pictures at our little seder table. I like the candid one better.

Face off?

Look! My real family in their real home! Most of which is still in boxes.

The flight home from home.

On the way home from home, I watched a thunderstorm just after dark. Looks so peaceful before the sun sets.

And this one is just nice, no clever juxtapositions:

Dinner at Fanny's: Ayeup.

Saw this just outside the hostess's home:
(Look closely. Helps if you speak Maineiac.)

Our elegant hostess.

The usual conviviality. From the excitement evident on their faces and from the wild gesticulations, you can tell when they started discussing physics.

And Dirty Dan couldn't understand why we were all laughing at him...

Katherine's physics discussion face. This one was slightly posed.

The best take came later, more...spontaneously.
